No matter where you stand on The Green M&M issue (yeah, it's a thing... Google it!), you're sure to love this elegant blend of El Bombón 505 cacao liqueur, D'UVA 1 brandy & cold brewed matcha tea. It tastes like a sophisticated m&m for adults, but not quite as sweet, and it is so pretty.
As a gifted multi-tasker, this cocktail is delicious any time and festively perfect to sip in March, when we celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Women's History Month & International Women's Day (Ms. Green M&M is she/her).
Some notes about matcha: I recommend using a good, ceremonial grade matcha powder for this cocktail. My favorite is Jade Leaf, which I order on Amazon (okay, I actually have a subscription to this on Amazon. They have no idea I am writing this, and are not paying me.) For this recipe, I suggest using 1/4 to 1/2 tsp matcha mixed into about 2 ounces of cold water. Sift through a fine sieve to prevent lumps and mix until well blended, either with a small metal whisk or a special matcha whisk.

GREEN M & M
INGREDIENTS1.5 oz El Bombón 505 cacao liqueur
.5 oz D'UVA 1 Brandy
1.5 oz Cold Brewed Matcha Tea (see above for details)
.5 oz simple syrup
optional: about 1/2 tsp of fresh egg white (makes a nice froth, but you can totally omit this if you prefer. It will be super yummy either way!)
Optional garnish: hot chocolate powder rimmed glass, dusted with matcha powder (or not)
TO MAKE:
Add all ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake & strain into a rimmed martini or coupe glass without ice. Lightly dust with matcha powder.
