12 Cocktails of Christmas | Cocktail 4: Famous Jemez
Red chile, lemon and basil… that’s what make the Famous Jemez a cocktail you don’t want to miss! Our Red Sauce red chile liqueur brings the earthy chile flavor and a little bit of heat, the lemon adds tang and the basil rounds this out perfectly with it's distinctive savory, spicy, green flavor.
This is the fourth cocktail created in collaboration with mixologist, Darren, at Albuquerque's Casa Cocktails and featured in our collaboration box. The collaboration box is an At-Home-Happy-Hour Kit that contains everything you need to make the featured cocktails!

FAMOUS JEMEZ RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
2 oz Red Sauce red chile liqueur
2 oz lemon juice
1.25 oz simple syrup
1 full bar spoon basil puree (2 tsp)
TO MAKE:
Add all ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake & DOUBLE strain (using both a two pronged bar strainer and a fine mesh strainer) into a martini or coupe glass without ice. Garnish with dehydrated lemon slice (included in the collaboration box!) or fresh lemon peel & a fresh basil leaf (if you have one on hand :- )
